The sun and stars were out this weekend at the 30^th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards, co-hosted by Piaget for the eighth consecutive year and held on the beach in Santa Monica. The event paid tribute to some of this year’s most important films and also attracted the biggest names in Hollywood, including Piaget’s new international brand ambassador and Best Supporting Female nominee for “A Most Violent Year,” Jessica Chastain, along with Michael Keaton, Julianne Moore, Scarlett Johansson, Cate Blanchett, Matt Bomer, Emma Stone, Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, Oprah Winfrey, Olivia Munn, Miles Teller, Andy Samberg and Emmy Rossum.

Piaget was the jeweler and watchmaker of choice for many of the attending stars, including Jessica Chastain who wore white gold and diamond earrings from Piaget’s new Mediterranean Garden collection, along with matching white gold and diamond Possession bracelets on each wrist. Piaget’s signature Rose jewelry was once again a favorite of the afternoon’s most glamorous women.  The show’s co-host, Kristen Bell, wore a suite of Piaget Rose jewelry throughout the ceremony, including two different pairs of Piaget Rose drop earrings and matching Rose rings.  Best Female Lead nominee, Jenny Slate, dazzled in Piaget Rose stud earrings and a Rose ring, while Olivia Munn chose white gold and diamond Rose earrings and paired them with a Piaget Rose cocktail ring.  Marcia Cross wore a long Piaget Rose sautoir in rose gold.

Matt Bomer

For long-time friend of the House, Emmy Rossum, the choice was Piaget Possession and she looked effortlessly chic in Possession Classique earrings, paired with Possession rings. Andrea Suarez Paz, nominated for Best Supporting Female, accessorized her red carpet look with Piaget Rose earrings and matching ring, two Possession bangles and a Limelight Diamonds watch.

Michael Keaton

Once again, the Piaget Altiplano was the preferred dress watch for Hollywood’s leading men. Michael Keaton, winner of Best Male Lead for “Birdman” exuded understated elegance in a 38mm rose gold Piaget Altiplano and “Magic Mike” star, Matt Bomer, was the first to wear the new Piaget Altiplano Chronograph in rose gold.  Long-time friend of the House and star of “Whiplash,” Miles Teller, chose an 18-carat rose gold 40mm Altiplano, while show co-host, Fred Armisen, opted for a white gold model.  Presenter, Mark Duplass, wore a diamond-set 40mm white gold Altiplano and Eric Roberts, nominated for the Robert Altman Award for “Inherent Vice,” chose the distinctive 40mm Altiplano Skeleton. 

Olivia Munn

Former “Bond Girl,” Berenice Marlohe, wore a Piaget Rose necklace in white gold with diamonds and a Possession ring, along with Belgian actress, Helena Noguerra, who wore a suite of Mediterranean Garden jewelry in white gold with blue sapphires. Also in the new high jewelry collection was model, Alizee Gaillard, who looked stunning wearing Mediterranean Garden earrings and a necklace in white gold and emeralds, as well as Lauriane Gillieron who dazzled in diamond and pink sapphire earrings and ring. Also in Piaget was Spanish actress, Blanca Suarez, who chose a vintage sautoir in yellow gold and turquoise.

Miles Teller

Kristen Bell presented the Piaget Producer’s Award to Chris Ohlson. The award features a $25,000 grant and is given to emerging producers who demonstrate creativity, tenacity and vision, and produce quality independent films, despite limited resources.

This year, Piaget debuted a new design concept for its backstage VIP lounge that featured modern, luxurious details and a grand piano in the center.  Winners, nominees and friends of the House joined Philippe Leopold-Metzger for a celebratory glass of champagne and a peak at the new Mediterranean Garden collection.  Also on display were a selection of Piaget timepieces and vintage jewelry, as well as the House’s new coffee table book, Piaget: Watchmakers and Jewelers since 1874 by Florence Müller.
